This video is really fun to watch. The baby rockhopper penguin is being taken care of by zookeepers because his parents chose a really bad place to raise him. (Saint Louis Zoo) There was danger of him falling! They tried to relocate the whole family, but his parents wouldn't stay put. So, the keepers are raising to keep him safe!

I always have such mixed feelings about humans needing to intervene in order to help an aninal. I'm grateful though that there are wonderful, dedicated people who do this every day!

Very sweet. I'm glad he will most likely make it. It does make you wonder, though, what would have happened in the wild? Do penguins often make their nests on cliffs? Would the parents have been able to protect him themselves? Of course, you wouldn't want to find out by finding the baby dead or injured after a serious fall. When will they be able to return him to the habitat?
