Exciting news! Vet Wisdom Café has received its first ever blog award! Yay!
Ingrid from The Conscious Cat nominated us for the Honest Scrap blog award. This award is to go to "bloggers who put their heart on display as they write from the depths of their soul.” Thank you so much Ingrid! We all (Laurel, Tammy, and Dana) really try to put pieces of ourselves into the posts we write! It is great to know that you think so too!
A "condition of the award - share 10 interesting things about yourself. Since there are three of us who post here, we're each sharing a couple things about ourselves instead!
From Dana:
1. I really like spiders and think they are incredibly cool.
2. I try to always look for the positive side of people.
3. I love football.
From Tammy:
1. I have a tattoo on the top of my right foot. (I got it six years ago, and had it retouched/redesigned six months ago.)
2. I am the youngest of eight kids. (My next sibling is 15 years OLDER than me!)
3. My favorite movie of all time is Singin' in the Rain.
From Laurel:
1. I've been married for 35 years!
2. When I was five years old, I was blessed and wished a long life by a Native American shaman at Lake Itasca in northern Minnesota, the mouth of the Mississippi River.
3. I am addicted to rings and books and have quite a collection of each!
Commenter Turtlecookie pointed out that we only have 9 interesting things about us! So here is #10 - Laurel, Dana, and I don't work in the same office building. Laurel is at our headquarters in Fort Collins, CO. Dana is in Colorado Springs, CO, and I am in Lincoln City, OR. Isn't technology wonderful? We get to be co-workers even though we don't live near one another!

I learned new stuff about my cohorts too! :)
My tattoo is a triple moon symbol - waxing, full, waning - symbolizing birth, life, death. You can see a photo if you're interested at http://www.flickr.com/photos/tamberstone/3742656299/ - I love my tattoo! Retouching hurt really badly, and I probably won't have it done again! I certainly don't want another tattoo either!

Tammy, the tattoo is beautiful! However, I can only imagine how painful it must have been to get it, and to get it retouched. I'm too much of a wimp to get one, but I love the idea of one.
